'Heads Up' is a regular music night held at The Rumsey Wells in Norwich; this month we will be celebrating the iconic Joy Division album "Unknown Pleasures."
Unknown Pleasures is often considered one of the most influential records of the post-punk era. The album's dark, atmospheric soundscapes and Ian Curtis's emotive vocals continue to inspire new generations of music fans.
The event will start with a full playback on vinyl, allowing fans to experience the raw energy and emotion of the record in a truly authentic way. Following the album listen, there will be "open decks" for attendees to showcase their own related music selections, providing a platform for creative expression and community engagement.
(Please bring along any music new or old that you have been enjoying recently!)
Whether you're a long-time Joy Division fan or new to their music, this is not to be missed.
